Chic Click Carnival
Hi, my name is Daenel and I’d like to welcome you to my blog, Living Outside the Stacks. I write about my adventures while navigating through life away from the library….
Here’s the short version of my bio: I have the research skills of a librarian, the preservation skills of an archivist, the organizational skills of a mother and the domestic skills of a Stepford Wife.
And here’s the long version of my bio: I’m a wife of one, mother of five and grandmother of two. Before I became a SAHM, I was an archivist and reference librarian who taught American history at the local university. Now I teach part~time and spend the rest of my days trying to keep track of my family. I’ve been blogging for nearly three years (my other blog, Curious Child’s Library Wanderings, is about my life as Queen of the Histolibrarianivists) and I’ve had this blog for a year this month (yay, me!).
It’s so hard to pick a favorite post, I have several that I really like… But I’m going to go with the post that I wrote on Saturday called The Best Laid Plans. In it I describe how I had made big plans for my family for Family Movie Night and despite my best intentions things didn’t work out the way I desired, however, I did have the ending that I wanted and, in the end, that’s really all that mattered.
“My favorite Peep of the Week” from the Chic Click Carnival is Jessie from A Year in the Life of June Cleaver. I enjoyed her post about her Mommy/Daughter days, it reminded me of when my children were little and it made me realize how much I miss those days.
Now it’s your turn, take a look around the Chic Click Carnival and pick your favorite peep. For full directions on participating in the Chic Click Carnival go here.
